The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians defined in this area 1,000 years before the first golf ball was ever teed up. The tribe owns half the land on which Palm Springs is built and works to conserve Native American heritage.

McCallum Adobe Museum

Palm Canyon
Palm Canyon, about 6mi/10km south of the center of Palm Springs at the end of South Palm Canyon Drive, is a 15mi/25km long canyon wilderness belonging to the Agua Caliente Indians. You can also see the neighbouring Andreas and Murray Canyons.

Palm Springs Air Museum
The Palm Springs Air Museum includes one of the world's largest collections of planes from the Second World War period, provides a Grumman Wildcat and a Supermarine Spitfire.
