Kelley Park
Home of the San Jose Historical Museum, there is a small town out there, Victorian-vintage, complete with running streetcar on weekends. There’s also a group of people out there restoring old streetcars in a warehouse, and you can watch them and talk to them.

Tech Museum
The Tech Museum is downtown, this museum is excellent and interesting. The museum focuses on hands-on, state-of-the-art exhibits, using technology to teach about technology. Open Daily, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., $7-16.

Winchester Mystery House
A very representative house built by the widow of the guy who believed only eternal construction could fend off death has attracted people to the house for decades. Open daily, hours vary, $14-25. (408) 247-2101.

Paramount's Great America
Paramount’s Great America is the area’s premiere theme park, just a few miles. Open daily June to August, spring and fall weekends, hours vary. $30. (408) 988-1776.
